Which paddle should I start with?
If you are new to the game, the Rookie Rec Composite is forgiving and light on the wallet. If you already play a few times a week, the Dink Club Fiberglass or Kitchen Line Carbon 16 will grow with you.
16 mm or 13 mm core: what's the difference?
A thicker core (16 mm) is softer and more stable, which helps with dinks, drops and resets. A thinner core (13 or 14 mm) is livelier and pops more on drives and counters, at the cost of some control.
How do I pick a grip size?
Measure from the crease in the middle of your palm to the tip of your ring finger. Under 4.25 in, choose a 4.00 in grip; 4.25 to 4.5 in, a 4.25 in grip; over that, 4.50 in. When in doubt, go smaller and build it up with an overgrip.
Indoor or outdoor balls?
Outdoor balls (Tour 40) are harder with 40 smaller holes so they fly true in wind. Indoor balls (Gym 26) are softer with 26 larger holes for a slower, more controllable bounce on gym floors.
How does the 60-day play test work?
Play the paddle as much as you like for 60 days. If it isn't right, start a return from your account and we will send a prepaid label for an exchange or refund.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently ship to the 50 US states, including APO and FPO addresses.
Is this a real store?
No. Third Shot Supply Co. is a demo built to showcase Magento development. You can browse, add to cart and run checkout, but nothing is shipped and no payment is taken.
